I recently caught up with Dick Lewis of Regional Recycle based in Breakwater, Victoria, here’s what he had to say…
“Predominantly we were in demolition, but we’ve been in recycling for about 7 years, recycling crushed waste, concrete ashphalt, materials like that, sorting that out, we bought the loader for that purpose – to load the recycled and raw waste!
I’ve been in the recycling industry now for about 10 years, I started this business myself and it’s grown a lot, it’s grown by 100% each year.”
“The LiuGong loader handles all the incoming goods which is mainly raw concrete & various items of construction/demolition site’s, it handles yard waste & soils and it also takes the product off the crushing process for stockpiling and then loading it up to be sold.” Said Dick.
The machine’s done about 1400 hours in 7 months, it works constantly everyday. We used to have a Cat doing this job, I’d say that the visibility in the LiuGong is much better, the fuel consumptions better, quite significantly actually at about a 40% improvement. The LiuGong is doing exactly the same job and keeps up just as well. To tell you the truth, I think the LiuGong machine is better than the Cat, it’s good as gold.
I think LiuGong will go alright, I’d definitely get another one, I can see that LiuGong is slowly growing; the machines are excellent value for money and it is performing very well. The machine has well known components such as ZF and Cummins motor, which as another reason we decided to risk buying a relatively unknown branded machine – and I’m glad we did, it’s great!The service from the Victorian dealership has been very prompt and thorough,they also have great faith in this equipment.
